BACK TO TWEED HEADS NSW

Back on May 9th I posted that we were in Chinchilla Showgrounds.

We had heard that there was much more rain coming so we decided we would pack up and head back to Tweed.

We got as far as Toowoomba Showgrounds and stopped for the night, to continue on home in the morning.

I’m not sure what happened to the photos I took of those Showgrounds. I can say that it was a huge place, one of the biggest showgrounds we have seen.
There were quite a few of us there for the night, as a lot of people were also trying to get home before the deluge.

If we had arrived in better weather, the place would have looked very pretty with lots of bird life around the lake, many windmills of all shapes and sizes, and lots of older style buildings.
They cater for weddings there as it’s such a photogenic place, with lots of pretty flowers in bloom.

We were just unfortunate to be here in the wet, so it was boggy underfoot.
So early the next morning we left and went down the Toowoomba Range.

We had never travelled on that new bypass road of Toowoomba….. but it was a lovely
road and the scenery going down it was so pretty.

So fast forward to today ……Friday 3rd of June ……and we are all packed up and ready to set off from Tweed on another adventure tomorrow morning.

We are going back up that same road we came home on, to continue on our travels heading North.

So fingers crossed, most of that torrential rain has gone, and our journey can restart.

Take care everyone ❤️❤️
