Morning tea at Goovigen
Today we went to visit this great little park that is open every Saturday morning.
Rob and Maree invite us campers, and whoever else is driving through Goovigen, to a lovely morning of billy tea and damper.
As well as damper, plain or with dates, there are beautiful scones with jam and cream.
You can help yourself to tea, coffee, milo, hot choc or water.
It's a great little park where you wander around and come across all these bits and pieces that Rob has added over time.
He's built his own dam that is spring feed and even has red claw in there.
And an outback Christmas Tree
He grows loofah which I had no idea grew on trees. I thought when you washed yourself in the shower with a loofah, it came from the sea🙄
They are worth a fortune apparently!
And when we were leaving, he took us down to the vegetable garden and gave us this lovely bag of assorted fresh veg.
So we had a great morning.
These country people are so generous and despite all the hardships they go through, they are always ready to give you a smile ..... and food.
Thanks Goovigen ❤️❤️❤️
