MILDURA TO HOPETOUN 12th MARCH 2021 (We’re Back)

🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Back on the road and loving it....we decided to turn left out of our street and are heading south, down through Victoria. 

(We have plans to go into South Australia, so another permit was needed for both of us to enter, when we cross the border)

We left Mildura a bit late this morning but luckily we only had about 190 Kim’s to drive to this lovely place which is a favourite of ours....Hopetoun. 

We’ve been here numerous times, but it’s just a beautiful place that draws us back all the time. 

You just kick your shoes off, stand in the water and suck in that pure country air!

It’s quite warm today, about 30 something degrees, but we are parked up and have a view of the water.

So what do you do when you have the water at your door step?

Talk to the ducks and throw your line in 🤣🦆🦆🐠🐟🎣🎣

Don’t worry .....no fish were harmed in this story...and that piece of rope hanging from the tree 🤔..is nothing more than a rope swing for the kids.

Some clever person has drawn a goanna climbing the tree, it’s quite good as well!

This is a free camp provided by the locals, with lovely clean showers, toilets, BBQ’s and clean town water to fill up the van. 

You can get power for $20@ night but we have plenty of solar so it’s not needed. 

The shops are just a short stroll away and they have the best bakery.

So a couple of days here and we will head off. 

It’s the best feeling being back on the road.
