MERRIWA NSW

We have been staying at this lovely little town for a couple of days now.
Merriwa has a population of about 1,700 on the Golden Highway, about 270 km from Sydney.

We have found a little caravan park on the outskirts of the village and are able to walk into town to pick up a few groceries at the local independent grocers..

The park has spotless showers, toilets and a washing machine for $1 a full load.
That’s amazing in itself, let alone the $23 dollars they charge for power and water per night. Cheap as chips.

At the back of our van is a lovely walkway along the river.

There is a concrete pathway, but I just took this photo of the river amongst the green grass.

The little village is so pretty, and the weather has been perfect with lovely blue skies

As you can see....it’s not a busy place, hilly yes, and you get plenty of exercise with these hills.....but it’s all about the view beyond....

And the blue sky..

It’s been a great little stop over. There’s only us and one other couple from South Australia here.

Because of the virus 🤫 , we have to plan a few stops ahead as to where we will stay... but we haven’t found it a problem.
As long as we show receipts of where we have been, we have been made welcome by the caretakers of the caravan parks & Showgrounds, wherever we have camped.

Happy campers 🙂🙂

So a big hug goes out to you all 🤗🤗🤗😍😍
XXXXX
Stay safe.

******* just as a little side note at 9.30 at night.
As a consequence of those gorgeous blue skies, we now have a
beautiful clear night with a temperature of 2 degrees.
🥶🥶🥶🥶. Thankfully we are toasty warm inside with the heater on.
