JOURNAL 18.4.20

Needed to go to the shops today for some food.....hate going there, but I must say, we all behave ourselves and do our social distancing like we’ve all got the plague 👹👿👽

Our supermarkets here, like everywhere I imagine, clean the trolleys and baskets before letting you take them...and squirt your hands with sanitiser.....(another crack in the hands coming up!) 

So I got to the fruit and veg section as I wanted spuds...I was only going to get a couple as we don’t eat many....and always grab from the back......but be aware people!!!!...😱

There are some...(I really don’t know what words to use to describe this brainless twat)....he was picking up potatoes ...from the back...and front....and turning, weighing, and visibly looking at each potato intently.....as he wanted his potatoes ALL THE SAME SIZE!!!  Yuk!!

Unbelievable! I looked at Ed...knowing what he was going to do ..and say...quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him away....otherwise we would have been on the local news...

Needless to say...I now have a bag of spuds....😉😉🤬

It’s a nice day today as we’ve had a nice sprinkle of rain...which has cooled it down just a bit. So I’ll continue on with my tour....

When you arrive with your caravan to Boyds Bay, you usually go in to this driveway.....pull up and go into reception to pay and get your site number if you haven’t booked. We booked, but at the moment there’s no need really as there’s lots of room. In saying that though....not anyone can get in to the park, which I think I’ve said.

The entrance to reception is on the right...but...when we turned up....that door was locked...so there’s another entrance around the front, but I walked around there and that was locked too.

So walked further around to where the mail can be collected in alphabetical order, and where the tourist pamphlets are usually kept.

But now we have a cross that you stand on....a sink you wash your hands at...and then you can sanitise your hands with home made sanitiser!

The window on the right....opens slowly....( I sound like a horror movie) then.......

you pay your money, tapping your card, then you get a tag that you pop in to a slot near the boom gate which will let’s  you in. Usually you get a wooden stick which attaches to that tag...because it’s a bit of a stretch when you lean out your window to open said boom gate......still with me?🤪🤪

Anyway, my tag came without the stick as they got rid of them all as they “carry germs”....so all good....happy not to get a “germy stick”.....

So Mr Ed made me one....

A very germ free virgin stick!😂😂 thanks Mr Ed 🙋‍♂️

I can now safely go through the boom gates!😉😉
