JOURNAL DAY 1

Last night, I had all these thoughts going around in my head about what I could write about. I really shouldn’t have had those thoughts as I lay my head on my pillow......as Bingo! ....wide awake with so many stories...so many thoughts...so many memories.....and they just kept coming!

So I’m starting with where we are staying....while in isolation from this Corona Virus.....I think from here on I will just call it the C word...as that’s what I think of it! 😂💩

We have been in and out of Boyds Bay Holiday Park for many, many years. We’ve seen lots of changes..made so many good friends...and have made so many good memories here. 

These memories are what kept me awake all night.😳

So I know a few of you also know this park inside out....but there’s been a few changes that you may notice as we go along. 

This park has been home for us for many years. Back when we first came here....you were “allowed” ....to stay on one site for 3 months....then you were told to move to another site in the park of your choice, if it was available.

There were about 18? of us (I’ll call ourselves permanents...and there might have been more) that lived like this as it suited us all really well. 

There’s over 270 sites, including the camping area at the back...

So it’s a big park. As you can imagine Christmas, Easter & school holidays were a very busy time.

Over the years, sadly, we (us permanents) were told we were not allowed to stay and move every 3 months anymore,(council rules) the time limit now was 5months in a calendar year only! 

To say I was devastated, was an understatement...what were we going to do, where are we going to go?

But after the initial shock....it ended up being a really good thing for Ed and I.

It made us shift our mindset....and our bums...and get out there and start to travel! 

We had a lovely van, a great car to pull it....so just get out there and see Australia!

And that’s what we did! 

But this park always draws us back when we come back to Tweed Heads.....and it’s because of the memories that have been made in this park over the years.....they make me smile😁😁..... and right now....it’s just what we all need..😉😉

So I’ve decided that I will take you on a tour of the park.

But it will be through my eyes....and share with you my memories....be it happy...😁.and just sometimes a little bit sad😔....

So while we are all stuck at home because of the C word of 2020..🤪🙄..and we can’t go anywhere....🤦‍♀️...I’ll take you for a tour...and you get to stay in your comfy seats ...😎😎 sunnies on...it’s a warm day...
