BOWENVILLE QLD

Forgot these photos…..

BOWENVILLE is just a small town with a population of 250 people.

This is also another small town with the public hall being built in 1925, and was a very popular venue for dancers as it’s floor was also made from The Crow’s Ash Tree, which was very resistant to impact, making it an excellent surface for dancing.

The town also relied on the railway industry and with the winding down of the railways, the population declined.

There was not a person to be seen in this little town, and all of this memorabilia was in a little park we found when we pulled over for a coffee.

The sign on the door said…”please come in and have a look around, but can we ask you to shut the door on your way out to keep the “wildlife” out!

Glad we didn’t come across the “wildlife” 😳🤣🤣

Take care everyone ❤️❤️❤️
