MORGAN, BARMERA S.A......LAST POST FOR A WHILE.

These last posts are before the Corona Virus got really serious...so social distancing wasn’t spoken about then**

We stopped here at Morgan for a look as we hadn’t been here before.
It was a lovely spot...along the Murray River.

We then had to get on the ferry and cross the Murray to get back to Mildura.

We then stopped off at Barmera....another lovely town. There was no river....but instead we found Lake Bonny.

It was an incredibly clean town....and this Lake was a credit to the town.
There was a great little camp spot that was provided by the local footy club,  $5 @ night.

So we decided to stay here to explore the area for the next 4 nights......so we thought...everything changed the next morning when we heard they were closing off the S.A. Borders...and the Victorian one as well.....
So we packed up and took off quickly as we wanted to get back up to Tweed Heads....for Mum.

We arrived at Mildura, booked in to caravan park we always stay at for the night, so we could say goodbye to the family as we were going to make a very quick dash back to Tweed.

We drove for many hours along the Newell Highway, the New England Highway, and arrived back in 3 days!
It was the worse trip we have done.
The roads were so bad, there was so much roadworks...and the roads were in terrible condition.

Plus no caravan parks or Showgrounds were open, so we just had to camp on the side of the road......and the flies!🦟🦟
They were horrible.

So luckily our caravan park here at a Tweed was one of only a few that have stayed open for us travellers that live full time travelling in our caravans.

It was good to finally get here and set up. We don’t know how long this horrible Virus will go on for....but for now...we are set up and all these full time travellers here...have a safe place to stay.

So stay safe everyone....our journey will continue.
