We left our lovely camp at Wingham, and drove into Taree to top up with petrol and have a lovely hot shower that are provided for free in the service centre, which also has lots of different food outlets, but we weren't really hungry so we just had a cup of coffee.
After leaving Taree, we did a big drive....all of 12klms, on to a nice little rest stop just off the main highway. The rest stop is called Talawahal Creek, at Possum Brush (love that name) There is a nature reserve here, and the Aboriginal people used to make canoes from the Stringybark Tree and the inside bark was used for fishing line and spears, and the Myrtlewood trees were used for boomerangs. (interesting what you learn when you read signs!! :)
Had a really good nights sleep, even though we are near the highway, and because there are lots of storms and wind about at the moment, we have decided to stay put here for another day, along with another couple of people here.
Its lovely and green here from all the rain they have had. The loo's are really nice and clean, and surprisingly they dont smell which is a bonus, as they can get smelly in the bush!!!
Ed has been doing a few running repairs on the van, but as many times as he turns the aerial around, he cant get any tv reception, its no great loss really though!
