FINLEY, HOWLONG, DENILIQUIN & COHUNA.
We left Walla Walla and stayed the night at Finley....in a designated RV stop for travellers. It was a quiet stop at an old railway station (not in service)
Finley is a small town with not much to see.. or do..so no photos were taken....
So next morning we headed off and stopped for a look at a lovely little town called ”Howlong” which is a small town on the Murray River.
It was a nice little stop over and you can camp on the Murray...but we didn’t stop as it was too early.
So off we go again and stopped at Deniliquin..., home to the Deni Ute Muster which holds the Guinness World Record for the largest parade of utility vehicles.
It’s an old town...but quite pretty.
So we had our cuppa, fed the ducks...and continued our drive.
We have stopped at Cohuna. We are heading along the Murray Valley Highway which is very well know to us...especially Ed as he used to drive his truck through all these small towns when he worked for Dons Smallgoods about 30 years ago. A trip down memory lane!!!
The town, surprisingly enough, has grown so much, and they have tarted it up so nice!!
We are parked in a lovely free camp spot provided by the council, right in the town. We will stay here a couple of days and explore the little town.
There’s a bowls club next door...so guess where Ed’s gone!!
