COWRA

Cowra is a small town in the central west region of New South Wales with a population of about 10,000 people.....which means for us....it’s nice...but too big a town.
We stayed for two days at the show grounds which were good...the first day it rained all day...and yesterday we were able to get out as the rained cleared although it was freezing.

Town centre itself was small, with the usual shops... but lining the whole street were gorgeous Cherry Trees and luckily for us they were all out in blossom.

So pretty...

And we also found a lookout..

Cowra township..

You can just see all the fields with the Canola (rapeseed oil plant) from the top of the lookout....so windy...enough to blow a dog off a chain!!!

So we are now on our way to Young....Cherry Capital of Australia....unfortunately they are not in season till Xmas....but the blossom will be nice to see.
We have stopped in a “rest area” for the night, then in the morning we will head in to Young...about 25km away....then decide what to do from there.

XXXXX :)

UPDATE ***

The sun is going down...and I just had to capture the natural beauty of the bush........ so peaceful ......so thankful we get to do and see this....

In the middle of this photo stands what used to be a lovely farmhouse...

A lovely end to a lovely day.....
