Day one of our journey started a bit later than expected. 

We had a minor hiccup with the awning... but nothing that a quick trip to Bunnings couldn’t fix!!

We are camped up at Maclean Showgrounds on the river. 

Great spot but look like we could be in for a spot of rain ☔️ 

Had a quick look around the very small ‘Scottish’ town..

Then went up to the lookout...

In the far distance is Yamba which we are visiting tomorrow. 

So stir fry and fish 🎣 for dinner

Good morning☕️🌞🌞

After a wet night 💦💦

We’ve woken to this from our window...

With dolphins 🐬 

☀️☀️☀️ sugar cane country 

We went into Yamba this morning..

Had a coffee and cake with one of the ‘friendly locals’

He enjoyed the lamington as much as we did!!  🍰☕️🦅😂

There’s a bit of smoke haze around this evening from a fire... but it made for a lovely sunset 

And right on dusk... thousand upon thousands of bats 🦇 

appear from nowhere and head along the river... didn’t fancy going out for a photo as I’d get 

🦇💩 on me!! 🤦‍♀️😖
