AUTUMN. 1st MARCH 2021

I cannot believe it’s been four months since I’ve posted anything!! Where does the time go!!!

We made a quick trip to Tweed Heads and back in early January for medical reasons....which was a nightmare... travelling wise....as the state borders kept slamming shut every time we wanted to head off in the car, and when we finally got going, halfway there, the Queensland border was going to shut, which was where the hospital was located for my appointment! 

Luckily we made it to Tweed Heads and we were allowed over the border into Qld with a permit which also stated the crossing was for medical reasons. 

Bloody hell it was a traumatic couple of days wondering if we had travelled so far....just to be turned back at the border!

Then trying to get back home into Victoria....you needed a different border pass and every bloody day they would change,  

depending on  what was happening with the Covid new cases  and where they were. 

Nightmare!

The government decided to divide the different states in to coloured zones....and depending which zone you had travelled through, depended on whether you would need to isolate and get a Covid test. 

Plus what made the trip home even worse was the weather!

We ended up driving a lot of kilometres through the day as it was just so hot to stop. 

We had 3 days of over 45 degrees 🥵🥵🥵

(We drove 1,600 kilometres in those 3 days)

In the end we were lucky enough that we didn’t have to isolate or get tested when we arrived home. 

It was so nice to pull in to our driveway with our van, and walk through the door. 

First thing we did was flick the switch and turn both air conditioners on as it was 46 degrees!

It was so good to get home 🥵🥵🥵

We are now in March, which is the start of Autumn, but we can still get some very hot days here where we live.  

Our Covid restrictions here have eased a bit, (and I say that quietly as I don’t want to speak too soon)...but we have decided it’s time to take a break and head over to South Australia for a couple of weeks...or more....depends on ...shhhhhh 🤫🤫🤫

Luckily we are not too far from the S.A. border from where we live so it will be a nice break. 

We haven’t decided which direction to take, or where to go for that matter...but that’s ok....we will just hook up the van, get in the car and decide left or right.

So watch this space....I think we’ve decided on a date ...
