BACK ON THE ROAD AGAIN… AT LAST 29th DECEMBER 2021

About #*$@#=* time!

After a month since all the bad things with the old car happened….we have at
last been able to hitch the new car to the caravan and hit the road. 🥳🥳🥳

We were at Tweed Heads for nearly 2 months, and while we were there, it was so nice and quiet, hardly anyone there.
When we left yesterday, it was absolutely packed, so it was good to leave as it was way too busy for us.

We said our goodbyes to our family, and off we went.

It was the first time I had towed this caravan with our new car, but once I got used to the different noises and the changes of gears, it was a very comfortable drive down the highway.
It was raining, and it was blowing a gale, but I didn’t care, we were just happy to be back on the road.

That first stop for coffee and cake in the caravan was so damn good. 🍰🍰☕️☕️

We had booked this Showgrounds about 3 weeks before as being Christmas we knew it would be booked out early as there are only 16 sites available, which is better than 260 odd at Tweed. 😳

So we are now parked up at Wauchope (fondly called War-chop by the locals….but it’s actually War-hope) for 10 days.

It’s a lovely little town about 445 klm down the highway from Tweed.

I’m going to try and add maps for all of you playing along 🥰🥰
(We are not marked on the map as such but we are right near Port Macquarie, just over the highway going inland)

We plan on doing some nice drives into the mountains,  to avoid the beach crowds.
Last night we went for a walk as the township is just down the road.
It’s a pretty little town.

We walked past the small hospital just down the road from us and found “Doctor Stu Dent” sitting outside.

There’s also a very pretty park in the town.

A rail bridge over the Hastings River.

It’s a pretty little town.

So as we are located between the mountains and the beach…..we have a lot more exploring to do.

Take care and stay safe everyone 🥰🥰🥰
