OBSERVATIONS

So we have been sitting here in a rest stop, at one of the busiest stops along the main highway of the east coast of Australia. 🐠🐳🇦🇺

Now because anybody can follow this blog... I’m going to tell you of my ‘observations’ 👀 while I have been sitting here...watching the comings & goings of people. 👫👭

Some have stopped just for the loo.... 🚽🚽..some have just stopped for lunch...🍽🥤.or maybe just a cuppa ☕️and moved on. 

We’ve had huge semi trailers in here, 🚚 changing their trailers and moving on with their loads. 

We also have a lot that are staying the night🌛... and these are the people that I’ve been ‘observing’... 

they are travelers that are holiday people or full time on the road people. 

People astound me!!!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

In some caravans , we have the luxury of a shower 🛀and toilet 🚽on board (as we do)

The toilet is a flush system that goes in to a holding tank along with chemicals to break down 💩 poo!

We choose not to do poo 💩in our van toilet as neither of us would want to clean it out😳🤭😷.... but some people do and that’s there choice.  

Now we HAVE to empty these chemical toilets in a ‘dump point ‘ 💩as they’re called. 

You don’t empty them down an ordinary toilet as the chemicals interfere with the septic systems. 

This is a dump point ...💩💩

You lift the blue lid, tip the contents from your toilet tank 🚽down into the dump and there is always a water tap to rinse out your toilet tank (or cassette as they are callled)

You put the hose down into your emptied toilet tank 🚽 fill it a little bit then tip that out again.... and hey presto... a clean toilet tank smelling of roses with the addition of more toilet chemicals. 💐🌸🌹🌹

So here is my first observation for the day. 

These taps near the dump point are just that.... a dump point tap that would be full of unimaginable germs.....😷😷 but today... I observed a man filling up his drinking water containers  and then filling up his caravan water tanks that are used for drinking,🚰 or dishes 🍽🥄or showering 🚿or.... I don’t know.... maybe brushing your teeth!!!!!!🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Holy shit balls!!!!! 💩💩💩💩

Why people why???

Next observation...

A lot of people came in today travelling with dogs...which is fine, I like dogs. 🐕🐩

We had a bloke pull up behind us today with a four wheel drive and just a canopy on the back...he obviously sleeps in there with his dog... 🐕an Australian kelpie... 🐕well after cooking himself some lunch.. he did his dishes 🍽and drained them in the gutter...(I will add there’s no woman... wonder why?? What a catch he would be!!)

So the dogs 🐕 chained up outside guarding the dishes when another dog 🐶 goes to greet the kelpie and cocks his leg on these dishes!!!

Oh yummy...😖

And that’s how the cocking of the leg competition started... as one cocked the leg.., the other cocked the leg...on this mans clean dishes that were air drying in the gutter...🐕🐩🤭🤦‍♀️

While this man is oblivious to it all..in the car...reading the paper 📝 

Now won’t his meal taste good tonight on those plates and saucepans!!!

Woof woof!! 🐕🐕🤫🤫

Now see what all you people are missing out on.....jealous or what people???👍👍👍😂😂😂

ONE WEEK TODAY

But it feels longer than that!..

We left Grafton this morning...the weather has been very wet the whole time there.....but it’s all down the east coast so can’t complain too loudly🤫

We waited for the fog to clear and have driven a whole 50klms😂 to our next stop. 

It’s a new rest area on the coast highway....(which is having some major upgrades and will be great when finished)

It’s a big area, lovely tar underfoot instead of soggy ground......

(Ed’s cleaning off 🦇💩...again... damn sticky stuff it is!!)

And blue sky!!.....for now....there’s a storm predicted so we thought it would be better to stay here the night on solid ground (plus it’s free👍)

There are lots of caravans & motor homes and buses here already for the night. 

Our satellite 🛰 dish is in place ready for the footy tonight 🤦‍♀️🤐🤫 ..... just as well we parked away from everyone😂
