BEACHPORT S.A. 20th March ‘21

We left Coonalpyn this morning and drove about 260 km towards the Limestone Coast of South Australia.

We arrived at Kingston, and was tempted to stop there just to be able to get a glimpse of the ocean....but kept going as we had plans to stay at Beachport in the caravan park.

There are just so many caravans on the road going in all directions, you wonder what will happen to them all when international travel starts up again...cheap caravans for sale?

We had never been to Beachport before so had no idea what to expect of the caravan park .....but it didn’t disappoint .....it is lovely, and so cheap at $33@ night!
And better still right across the road from the beach.

And we can walk in to the little seaside town with lovely little waterfront coffee shops.

We also walked to the Jetty, which they say is the most beautiful in all of South Aus.
It’s just on a klm long and you can fish for Salmon & Whiting.

The water is so clear, although this time of year it’s getting a bit cooler but it would be a lovely place to come back to visit in the summer months. This area is for swimmers only.

There’s a tourist drive that takes you along the coastline for a while. Once you get around the corner from the Bay here, that’s when you get to see the ragged coastline and the waves.

There's a blowhole here, but the tide wasn’t right so didn’t get to see it.

Beyond here, the road becomes 4wd, and there’s a few camping spots along the coast. We just prefer sticking to the black top and setting up in a caravan park 😉😊

Went for a walk just before sunset tonight. The wind wanted to cut you in half, but we were well rugged up and it was just so nice to feel that fresh sea breeze on your face.

Found this tree is in the middle of the small beach village.

And a bike and rider made from driftwood and rope.

We are off to Robe tomorrow, another little seaside town about 60 klm back up the coast.

Stay safe everyone ❤️❤️❤️ xxx
