JOURNAL 5TH AUGUST 2020

So just another update. In my last post, we had decided to just stay in New South Wales and tour around there. 

Doing further research, and looking at different maps, we then did a back flip and thought we might head into Queensland and go west. 

Then today....that changed again!

The Queensland Premier has decided to shut her border to all residents of a Victoria, New South Wales & Canberra.....declaring all of these as hot spots. 

So there you go!

New South Wales here we come!

Yesterday was a lovely day...weather wise. 

So Ed said he was going down to the bottom of the caravan park and throw his fishing rod in. 

A couple of weeks ago we were in BCF store (our local boating, camping, fishing shop) getting our gas bottle filled.

While waiting for it to be filled,  Ed was off looking at stuff and I spotted a display of fishing lures that were in a clearance bin.

So I rummaged through and found a cute little plastic lure that looked like a little yabbie. So for $2 I thought that would be ok for Ed to play with. 

Look what happened!!

As you can see, the tide was very very low, so wasn’t holding out for much!

A lovely big flathead! Chewing on our little plastic yabby!

We put him back to swim another day. Needless to say Ed was thrilled with his lure. It was a lovely time and helped us both forget about all the crap going on around us for a while!

These two were quite disappointed when we threw the fish back in. 🐠🐠😊😊 They were waiting for their dinner.
