FORSTER - TUNCURRY NSW

Foster and Tuncurry are two coastal towns which are separated by a very large concrete bridge across Lake Wallis. It’s located about 300 km north of Sydney.

It’s a typical holiday resort with loads of seafood cafes, fishing, surfing and swimming areas.

This is not my photo, but wanted to show an aerial shot…and the colour of the water here is just beautifully clear and blue.

This is the harbour at Tuncurry, where all the fishing boats go through and out to sea. They  have netted off this portion so it’s safe for swimming. It’s a very popular spot as there’s a caravan park close by within walking distance and you just know it’s full of us retired travellers as they are all so brown.
It also has a lovely cafe there as well.

This is the opening of the bar where the boats go out to sea. There’s a lovely walkway right along.

And this is Forster, not too far away.

They have swimming baths here.

These were lovely as well. The council here have done such a good job with these two towns. They are immaculate, and really cater for young and old.

They even have a ramp where the older people can walk into the water safely as this man was doing with his walker…
He could hardly walk, but once he got into that water he swam like a fish…..amazing for his age.

There was also a great little cafe…

Shoes optional….

Odd shoes found on the beach..

The beaches were so clean. Then we went exploring after having our lunch.

These rocks were called “The Tanks” we had no idea why….

Then we found this lookout…

And all these wooden spoons that had been painted by anyone that wanted to leave a spoon there to brighten someone’s day.

Another lovely day had. We would like to come back here one day and stay in the caravan park close to the beach and just relax and do nothing but swim, eat and relax…… it’s just that sort of place.

Stay safe everyone 🥰🥰
