GLENMORGAN

Set off early this morning. Being that it's the weekend, we thought the road might be a bit quieter....meaning not as many huge cattle trucks thundering down the road...so all good. 

Quality of road hasn't improved, and there was lots of road kill from those huge trucks, wild pigs, huge buggers....just as well the poor animals wouldn't know what hit them!

We had intended to stay at a place called Meandarra, but when we got there, it really didn't take our fancy. So just had a walk around the 'town' population 300, bought some yummy freshly baked bread then headed back to the caravan, and once again, got swooped by a magpie! Vicious mongrels they are in breeding season. 

So off again, and about 25 klms down the road we came across this lovely small town called Glenmorgan. A pub, a post office in someone's home, a diesel pump that's cheaper than where we last filled up 😕 , a small school & kindy, and a take away shop that sells everything imaginable.....car parts, camping gear, toilet rolls and ham sandwiches! 

So I bought some hand soap and butter....just to boost the local economy!! 😉

A bit of info about the camp spot....

The BBQ area, power for the travellers to plug into with a donation box 

The water tank with fresh water only for drinking.....

And the shop with the lot!

Oh.....and the hot showers...

So we will be here for a day or two....someone else has just joined us....so bye bye Ed....off he goes.....he loves a chat!! .....

Walking around the town and came across this place.....

It just looked like he had up and left the place....it was amazing, and I'm no car buff, but how trusting is this man to leave everything open and not a person in sight. All he asks is to leave a small gold coin donation and sign his visitor book! 

Too many photos to show, and photos didn't do the place justice.....but it was great to see all the old stuff. 

We have no phone reception out here, and the Internet is very off \on so I have to hold the iPad I the right direction to send this off....ah.....outback communications.....just luv it.....😡😡😡😡
