JOURNAL THURSDAY 14.5.2020

Just while I have this memory in my head...I just wanted to continue on this story about Mum & Dad sharing a place with us when they moved back up to Tweed.

Luckily Mum & Dad didn’t have to stay at the caravan park for long as we found a lovely 3 bedroom townhouse that we could all share.
It was a lovely unit in a quiet street in Tweed. It had a big lounge, lovely kitchen, loo downstairs as well as upstairs and 3 big bedrooms. We decided we would use one of the bedrooms as our lounge area so we didn’t have to share a Tv 🤦‍♀️....and we also gave Mum & Dad the huge big bedroom with the biggest en-suite I have ever seen in all our years of living in different properties.

So all went well...I let Mum use the kitchen first to cook their meals everyday as they were both quite regimental with their times...which didn’t really bother Ed and I.
And we bought our own shopping as we eat different!

So everything went along fine until one night Mum called me upstairs to their bedroom and pointed out there was candle wax on their bedroom carpet. (I knew there had only been one other tenant in this unit as they were virtually brand new) I said to Mum it’s probably been missed by the carpet cleaner from the other tenant before us.
Straight away she said....it’s creepy in this place...there’s been people in this room burning candles and doing strange things!
I said to Mum that some people just like to burn candles, like I do! But no! She wouldn’t have it! She kept saying it’s creepy and she feels things in there. Which was really strange for Mum as she never says these sorts of things.

Anyway time passed and Mum was really unhappy so Dad went to the Housing Authority and asked if they could go on the list for housing, which they did...fast forward a couple of months, and because of their age, they were offered a lovely new unit. Mum was so pleased to get into her own place, as was Dad. They stayed there in that unit for over 11 years until they moved into the nursing home.

So we moved them in with all their furniture...and we moved out of the unit as well and back into our caravan as Mum and Dad settled in to their new home.

I went to the real estate agent to hand the key back in, and it’s law that you get the carpets cleaned as well, so I gave them the receipt. I said to the lady that the carpet man could not get the candle wax from the carpet.....to which she replied.......

That’s ok...we knew about the candle wax.....the people before you were evicted as they were conducting Seances
in the top big bedroom!!!! 😳😳😳🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😱😱😱. WHAT!!!👻👻

OMG! Mum knew!! ....she always said she used to hear noises! She always referred to that unit as
“The Creepy Place”.  I never did tell her! Sorry Mum 😕😍
