UNTIL THE NEXT TIME
Well it’s all done.....home tomorrow.
But for now....I will post our last two days.
Yesterday we stopped at Nanango.....one of our favourite stops that we have been to quite a few times.
It’s a lovely place to stop and camp at for the night.
I think for me...it’s the trees. I just love trees and they have beautiful ghost gums here and the birds just love them. We have had a chorus of kookaburras and magpies, and I’ve even heard a whip bird in the bushes.
And the sky was so blue...but so foggy when we woke this morning.
And today...our last day, I found this little town on the map that we had never visited before.
It’s one of the little villages that goes through the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.
The Rail Trail follows the disused the Brisbane Valley Rail Line that commenced construction at Wulkuraka near Ipswich in 1884.
It winds its way up the Brisbane Valley, traversing farmland, forests, picturesque rural settings and country towns.
It’s 161 km long, traffic free and coffee stops every 25 km or so.
You can take the trail on foot, bicycle or horseback!
So we have stopped at on one of those beautiful little villages called Linville.
It has a population of 400 people, and has a pub and a general store.
The first train stopped at the station here in 1910.
There are just lovely swallows nesting in those old carriages now.
The town is pretty....
I wanted to buy this...so peaceful out here!
So that’s about all I have for now.....what a wonderful time we’ve all had...
We have seen so much of this wonderful country but haven’t even touched the surface. We have so many many more roads to travel and memories to make!
We are just so lucky to be able to do what we do.
Thanks for coming along for the ride xxxx
Lets do it!!! :)
