JANDOWAE QLD

We left our lovely spot at Lake Clarendon this morning. It rained a little bit overnight but nothing too bad.

Last night we had a very unwelcome visitor. 🕷
It was so huge it had its own postcode!!😳 Bloody huntsman was just sitting there spread out on the cupboard door. Anyway Ed sprayed it so white it looked like it had been in a snow storm…..it dropped on the stove top ……I gave Ed some tissues to pick it up and throw it out the door….that thing didn’t want to die…..so tossed it out and this morning I found it dead.
A good spider is a dead spider! Sorry but I hate them….

Anyway we headed to Jandowae……(about 50 km away)…it’s a  place we’d always wanted to visit.

I had rang the day before to check that everything was ok and the lady said there was a big festival on this weekend (public holiday) and it was booked out, but that was ok as we only wanted a couple of days there.

So we headed out that way and there was a lot of flood ways with water in them all. We just assumed it was from the last flood they’d had out this way.

We got to the Showgrounds, rang the lady as we were told to wait at the gate before going in and she would take us to our spot, and the whole place was a mess!

They had had so much rain overnight it was so boggy. Also a couple pulled over on their way out and said it was absolutely full of mosquitoes …….so we turned around and drove out.
It looked a lovely place to stay as the town was so nice, but unfortunately it had rained so much it was just too boggy to stay.

So we headed back a different way and are now camped at the same spot we were in last time we came to Chinchilla.

Round Waterhole.

It’s a beautiful day. We will head in to Chinchilla Showgrounds tomorrow.
Back where we left off before the big floods came and we returned back to Tweed !

We’ve come full circle. 😊

Stay safe ❤️❤️
