LAKE CLARENDON PART TWO
What a lovely sunset we had last night after having a very windy day.
We didn’t do a lot today, except go into Gatton to fill our Jerry Cans with water as there is none here where we are staying.
We also needed a bit of shopping and fill the car with diesel (that I had to swap one of my kidneys for…🤣😳)
While we were in town this happened…..
With a lone bagpipe player in the lead ?……..have no idea why!
(Being that this area is a big vegetable growing area, there are a lot of different nationalities visiting here as they are now allowed back into the country to pick or plant or whatever is needed to earn money….. its nice to see them back again.)
So all the workers were in town today to do their shopping as well…..and stood there with mouths open (as I’m sure mine was as well) as it was only early…..and seeing these men on horseback with bagpipes blaring wasn’t your usual Sunday morning sight. 🤣🤣🤷♀️🤷♀️
We went for a walk from our campgrounds here, and while there’s not many houses, just row after row of vegetable plantings, we saw a bright building in the distance and found it to be a small school grounds.
Built in 1902 …….it was a lovely old school with fruit trees growing, chicken coups and vegetables & herbs growing as well.
There were all these encouraging signs around the school which was nice to see.

This was not far from the school and you can see from the weed on the fence how much the floods affected them in this area as well.
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky today so I was waiting for a beautiful sunset tonight…..but in rolled the clouds. Still…..it was a lovely end to another lovely day.
How lucky are we to live in such a special country……and have the freedom to enjoy it.
Stay safe everyone ❤️❤️ xx
