DOING THE PENINSULAR BEACH DRIVE
Another very crisp day, but the sun was out and shining brightly so that made everything look so nice today.
We started off by driving to St Leonard’s / Indented Heads.
As you can see, it was very cold and the wind was coming from the Arctic I’m sure..
You can tell from Ed’s attire how cold it was.
I cannot remember seeing him with long pants on in such a very long time!! 🤣🤣
I retreated off that pier quick smart….🤣🤣🥶🥶🥶
Don’t let that beautiful blue sky deceive you..
Then back to the car to thaw out and followed the bay road around to the other side where it was protected from the wind….. much nicer.
The water was like glass and so much warmer walking on the pier at Portarlington.
They are doing a major upgrade to the pier to make it a lot safer but you are still able to walk along it.
Being it was a clear day you could see right across the Bay to Melbourne.
As it’s school holidays there were even some brave kids splashing around in the water. 😳😱
Then drove back to Queenscliff..
Queenscliff is where the ferry crosses the Bay to Sorrento…the other side of Melbourne.
They are doing major works on the ferry terminal as well so couldn’t get too close.
There is a lookout, so up in the lift we went.
You can climb the stairs but the lift did us just fine.
We have been up here before with Michelle and the girls when they were younger……but you can never tire of the view from up there.
You can see Point Lonsdale and the lighthouse where we are staying from up there as well.
So it was lovely to breathe the sea air, have the sun on our faces and just get out and walk.
Another lovely day 🥰🥰
Stay safe everyone. Xxxx😷😷😷❤️❤️
