POINT LONSDALE GUEST HOUSE.

I just thought I would write a post on this guest house where we are staying and show you all around. 

It was built back in 1884 and was originally called the Terminus Guest House. 

It was then used to accomodate the workers who built the Lighthouse here in 1902.

It’s a lovely old place with creaky floors, old furniture, lots of interesting photos of old sailing ships, and original furniture. 

As you can imagine, it’s a very cold place as well with high ceilings and lots of wooden staircases that seem to go to all different directions without any reason. 

For me, that is the charm of the place, as it’s like stepping back in time to some mysterious place with lots of hidden secrets and stories to tell. 

(That’s the mystery book lover when I was a lot younger coming out in me 😂)

This is a a little reading room that catches the morning sun. 

And the Lady Nelson room where they light the fire and you can sit and have a read or a nip of brandy ….

And stairs that go in all directions. 

An outdoor pool….that’s not heated 🥶🥶🥶🥶

An outdoor kitchen that has everything in it….pizza ovens, coffee machines…everything…..

So that’s our lovely guest house by the beach, which is just across the road from the lighthouse. 

A place I will always remember. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I forgot to add, even though this lovely place is freezing cold, being that it a very old house without central heating….our rooms have heating, electric blankets, tea making facilities, fridge, TV, and most importantly…our own shower & loo. 

We can also go and get our own fresh towels every day, soaps, body wash, biscuits, coffee & tea and milk. 

Because of Covid, everything is contactless as you get an email on arrival how to get to your room, keys are already there for you, and everything is spotless. 

You also get a security code to get in and out of the guest house. 

So virtually you feel as if you are the only one here as you don’t see anyone. 

Sometimes you hear footsteps creaking up the long corridors…🤫👻👻👻👻👻
