(Backup) BOYNE RIVER
We have just spent two great days at this free rest stop on the Bruce Highway.
We left goovigen, crossed the mountains and came back onto the main highway. We had to get back on this highway at Gladstone as we are getting closer to Hervey Bay.
Just near this camp is a privately owned house, and the owner makes these sculptures out of scrap. Very clever!
This one is from wood.
This camel is from wood, check out the camel poo!!
We took the car off the van and went for a drive and found this little gem at Tannum Sands.
So nice to dip the toes and the water was like a bath.
Found this coconut full of shells washed up on the beach...
And this is beach camping at its best..

This camp where we are is right on the Calliope river
And there were two crocodiles spotted on the riverbank. We are safe up on the hill though 😊👀
This kookaburra was waiting for some of our lunch.
We are off tomorrow, but this has been a great spot and we will be sure to come back again
