WEST WYALONG

On our way here, we found a little town called Weethalle, with another beautifully painted wheat silo.

These silos are so amazing. Just to stand there and look up at them....

They transform these boring old wheat storage ugly ducklings that you would not 

give a second glance to....in to these works of art depicting country life!

Weethalle is a tiny farming town with a population of 307.

Just beautiful. 

Then on we went to the Showgrounds at West Wyalong. 

It was just your average Showgrounds in another country town.....but it’s the people that make these towns so memorable. 

A lovely caretaker called Jim is one of those special people. 

He comes around later in the day to collect your $20 and is just so nice. 

And he brings his helper along with him. 

This is “Lady”. She is just lovely. She talks to you and is so well mannered waiting at your door for a special treat.

A lovely Aussie Red Kelpie. 

Then the next day we left West Wyalong and stopped at Balranald for a cuppa. 

This will be our last stop as tomorrow we arrive in Mildura. 

It’s been a good trip, being that everyone is buying on line there are so many huge trucks on the road. 

Sometimes it’s been a bit scary, as when they pass they draw the caravan in as they are so big, but all in all it’s been another lovely adventure. 

We can’t wait.....along with everyone everywhere......

Till things go back to normal and we can get back on the road and travel again with no restrictions.
