KEMPSEY DAY 2

We are really enjoying this place. The Showgrounds are so nice, (not a cloud in that sky) with a lovely caretaker that comes around every evening for your site fees. 

It’s a gorgeous day, and at last the wind has dropped to just a slight breeze which is just as well as it’s quite warm. 

We have just come back from a 5km walk to the river and shopping area.

Everywhere we go....there’s hills....and the ones here are quite big, but it’s all good as we need to exercise those extra kilos off. 

The local loo’s.......it’s great to see them painted and not just an ugly brick building slapped in the middle of a lovely park. They blend in nicely 🌿☘️🍀🌳

Kempsey, along with a lot of other lovely towns from Sydney to Brisbane, has been bypassed with the building of the new Hume Highway. 

It’s a lovely Highway, but these towns get a bit forgotten now, so it’s great to get off the highway and revisit them from all those years ago when we travelled up here with Mum and Dad. 

Tomorrow we are going for a drive to the beach!
