our travels: MILDURA JOURNAL 15TH SEPTEMBER 2020

Being that our travels are put on hold for a while, I thought I would just do an update journal thingy again.

Have settled in to this lovely caravan park with about half a dozen or so other vans. We’ve all got to know one another so it’s like a small community village.

The managers and staff are all lovely and go out of their way to look after us.

We also get the police coming around to check there’s no one in here that shouldn’t be.

We are classed here as regional Victoria. Melbourne being metropolitan, have more restrictions than we do in regional, and because of that, our restrictions here are easing because our CV numbers are very very low and have been like that for quite a while.

So hopefully that means Ed might be back in to bowls soon and Jan gets her “me time” How exciting.

The transition from Tweed Heads to Mildura has been a little bit tougher for Ed as he’s missed his bowls....and we have to wear a mask all the time.

But that’s ok as it keeps us safe, but Ed was given a face shield instead of having to wear the mask which is much better for him!

Bless him...😷😷😷😷🤣🤣🤣😉🙄

We have been doing a bit of house hunting, but that’s also on the go slow a bit.

There are no house inspections as such, and the rules are you fill in the application forms first, submit them and about a week later, you get to see the place inside by appointment only.

Which just means you are on your own looking instead of with a crowd......which for me....is so much nicer.

So it’s a slow process, but we are able to be in the park indefinitely, and it gives us time to choose and where we want to be.

Being as the weather is so nice, we went for a walk down the river.

This river never fails to put a smile on my face from so many happy memories.

I just love it.

It makes me laugh as well .....as at the moment, because the river ‘belongs’ to NSW....and we have tight border restrictions where NSW don’t want us in their state....😜🤪🤪......you are not allowed to throw a fishing rod in, swim, or take your boat out!

Politicians ...don’t you just love the way they think! 🙃🙃🙃😉🤡🤡🤡🤡💩💩

So all those beautiful houseboats and paddle steamers can’t move! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
