JOURNAL 28th JUNE ‘20
Being that it’s a rainy day today, it’s cosy inside, so thought another chapter in the journal would be a good thing to do.
The caravan park here has become a lot busier now. While it’s nice to catch up with the regulars that come up here every winter, for me, in these times, I enjoyed it more when there was only a few of us full time travellers here.
But it is was it is, as long as every one does the right thing, we will be ok.
So continuing on with the tour of the park.
Unbeknown to me, one of our full time travellers in the park, knocked on the door and handed me some lovely avocados that actually grow here in the park!
He obviously knew... so he picked them the other day and handed them out which was nice of him.
His wife also grows fresh herbs so I got a bag of fresh parsley, mint & rosemary.
Ed has also made some great friends in the park here with the full timers, so it’s kept him busy doing what men do.....fiddle around with their caravans & cars! 😄🧑🔧🚎🚗🔧🛠🔨🔩 He’s actually done a great job fixing those little things around our van that never seem to get done when you’re always travelling.
Oh....and if any of the men are doing any sort of work and haven’t got some sort of tool....you can always put the word out and someone will always have what you’re looking for. If it’s 12volt....or solar & satellite problems...Ed’s the person!
He loves it!
It actually looks so funny when there’s a group of men standing around a car with their bonnet up, looking at the motor every so often, and you know they are not talking cars....cracks me up!
But it is good that men can get together and chat.
Talking of cars, we have a place down the back of the park where you can wash your cars and boats, and clean your fish....if you’re lucky enough to do so! 🐠🐡🐟🎣🎣
And this is the boat ramp for anyone lucky enough to have a boat. Very popular at Easter and Christmas holidays.
The roped off area to the right in the water is for swimming. That’s also a popular spot in the school holidays when the pool is too crowded.
Pelicans are always waiting for a feed when the fish are getting cleaned.
Not too long ago, the park upgraded all their holiday cabins that look out to the river and boat ramp.
They are really stunning, inside and out! I took a sneaky peak....
I could happily live in one of those full time!
So that’s about it for our tour of our “Tweed Heads home” away from home.
Hope you enjoyed the tour....I know some of you know the park, but there has been a few upgrades that you might not have seen.
Yes we live in our caravan full time, yes we stay in a caravan park, no we don’t have a house, but, we consider ourselves so
very lucky to be able to take our home with us, see this beautiful country, and make our “home” .....wherever suits us!
And how could we possibly complain when we have a backyard like this!
We are so grateful to live where we live.
😍😍🌴🌴 ❤️❤️
Stay safe everyone 🥰🥰
