our travels: JOURNAL 2ND AUGUST 2020

I don’t normally start with a quote....but I feel that this has been so true these last couple of weeks.

It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride lately, and as much as I want to get off....the bloody thing won’t stop for me.

We’ve been here for nearly 5 months now, so it’s time to move on.

But where to??

We pick up our travel book...look at it and decide on a route to go....then things change, borders close, and travel plans go out the window as restrictions get harder.

Our original plan was to go over the border and in to Queensland to go west, and travel slowly through there.

That can’t happen now. So scrub that out in the travel book!

So once again, out comes the book and highlighter. (It’s like playing pin the tail on the donkey now)

As we are currently situated in New South Wales, we thought it best that we stick to this state as there’s no borders to cross and no restrictions as such.

There are “Hot Spots” that have been declared in this state where you can’t travel because of CV ...but they are in the Sydney region that we will be avoiding.

I have a few doctors appointments and scans to do next week, so fingers crossed all going well, we will leave about the 20th of this month.
