FLAHERTY’s BEACH

From our caravan park, looking over the water we can see lovely white sand and the glistening of blue water......so we decided to go and find this beach.

It seems we must have passed the sign to Flaherty’s  on our way in to Point Turton...but we found it!

You go through some bush scrub, over corrugated rough dirt road and come upon a sign that says ...4WD ONLY ON BEACH.
So parked the car...and walked over the sand dunes and came on to this.....

Where the water meets the sky...

The water was so clear...and so beautiful....the photos don’t do it justice...and we had it all to ourselves. There were lovely white sand bars scattered through the water.....really a shame the water wasn’t a bit warmer....would have been so nice to relax in.

Then we drove on and came to Magazine Bay which was just around the corner from our caravan park.

Those stairs were too steep for me...I would’ve got down the bottom and needed   The Royal Flying Doctor to get me back out!!!

Ed went for a fish on the pier when we got back to the park....but no luck...just as well I don’t have to rely on my man to gather food! :)

Another lovely day.

Wildflowers from our walk...
