EDEN VALLEY

Left our lovely spot at Tailem Bend and headed....somewhere?.... not really sure where we intended to go....just followed the road to places we had marked on the map.
The thing with us is that we look at the map..find these places...and if we don’t think it’s suits our needs....we just keep driving.

But oh my Lordy..... the drive was amazing...through the hills..( maybe a better word was mountains) which were so pretty... and eventually we came to a place called.....and I quote...
“Welcome to the picturesque township of Eden Valley, nestled in the rolling hills of a world famous wine producing region” ....so we stopped!

Eden valley is named so because a large Redgum on the site,  had the word Eden carved into its trunk. It forms part of the Barossa Valley.

We went through some lovely little towns with the most gorgeous homes (drool)
Which are mainly Bed & Breakfast....
The Barossa Valley is a lovely region, (and expensive) and we will come back another time to explore it all, but I think the Autumn would be better sitting around those lovely log fires, that seem to be every where you look, as the weather is just a bit too warm to appreciate all that.

But we did find Eden Valley had a lovely little van park...

It was warm, but did it cool down at night! Socks on for Jan! :) ...... in my defence we were in amongst “the rolling hills”. ;)

It was so clean, and the amenities were perfect..

There was a cricket game going on so that kept Ed entertained for a while..

The gates in were a bit of a squeeze...

But I wish you could have smelled the lovely scent of the pines trees...and the bird life was so pretty..there was also lots of cute little rabbits that came out at night for all the scraps that people had put out.

So on again tomorrow.....

XXXXX
