our travels: MAITLAND SHOWGROUNDS

Well we finally moved on from our last stopover....and it was still very windy travelling on the highway.....but once we turned off that very busy road it was a much nicer drive.

Our google maps took a turn off the highway we had never been before....through some lovely scenery with little villages along a river.

I couldn’t stop to take photos as the road was very narrow, and we crossed some one lane bridges... but it was beautiful.

We have been at the Showgrounds here for a couple of days...catching up on some washing and filling up the fridge & pantry.....and will take off in the morning.

We are now on the Golden Highway....it’s a very scenic drive through some lovely towns and we cross over the Great Dividing Range...but at its lowest point....so no high mountains to cross.

We went for a walk this morning to find a coffee shop..it’s a very old town with lots of older buildings.

And there is a river the winds through the town behind the buildings

We came across this statue in a park next to the art gallery...not sure what it’s suppose to depict... but I found it so weird....a person with a dogs head .... picking up dog poo....it was named....”Good Boy”???
