(Backup) [Auto-saved Post]

Left Goombungee this morning....another frosty morning but a beautiful day.

We did a few Klm's today, about 200 which is not a lot but then we have lots of time😊
The road from Goombungee towards Oakey was ok, although a bit narrow,  as we wound our way through the back roads then came out onto the Warrego highway! Gosh what a shock to the system!

Trucks and roadworks! Oh and not forgetting the lovely aroma of the cattle trucks passing!! πŸ˜·πŸ˜–πŸ’©πŸ’© πŸ™ŠπŸ™ŠπŸ‚ pooowweeee!!
The roadworks were because of the floods they have had out this way so we did a lot of this today.....

So we were ready for morning tea when we came across this lovely park in the tiny town of Warra.

I just have to say here, no matter how cold it's been...Ed still wears his shorts and thongs! We bought a pair of track pants...but no, the warm shirt is enough!!πŸ™€πŸ™„πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š
We drove on and have pulled in to the Chinchilla Showgrounds for the night.
Chinchilla has a population of about 5,500 and is about 300 klm (190m) west north/west of Brisbane.
There is a lot of wool growing in the area with cotton wool balls to be seen on the sides of the road from the trucks transporting it.
Chinchilla is also know as the 'Melon Capital of Australia '

That's about it for today....moving on in the morning...❀️
