Today we woke to a very cool morning which was a great relief from the night before, and it warmed up to a lovely day with beautiful clear skies.

We did the washing, well Ed did really as i find it hard to wring out, while i did the dishes and cleaned up inside the van. Its takes all of about 15 minutes max!!!

While back at Jugilong, we noticed there were loads of earwigs about the place, and when i picked up the piece of wood that was levelling the van before we left, it was covered underneath with the horrible things.

Well these horrid little creatures have hitch-hiked along with us because they keep popping up all over the place. Today while i was looking on the Internet...one crawled on the computer!!! I have no idea where he came from. I found one in the fridge...dead...yuk!!

So off we went to the shops to get some surface spray to kill the rotters.
So here i am busily spraying away....under the seats....around the cupboards...and under the fridge.....but guess what>>???

Stupid me..forgot the fridge was on gas, and all of a sudden, poof, i have a flame come shooting out from the under the fridge, the spray had caught alight from the gas!!!

Panic stations....flung whatever i had in my hands....not sure what it was....first instinct was to blow the flame out....which luckily it worked. Forgot i had a fire extinguisher.
I rushed outside and turned the gas off at the bottle....i could have blown us both to the moon!!!
Ed took the cover off the back of the fridge to make sure all flames were out and nothing had been burnt, but all was well !! I have well and truly learnt my lesson there!!
Damn those earwigs!!!!  All their fault !!!!

But earlier on in the day.....before all this happened....we went for a drive and found the Botanical Gardens. They were quite nice, but not much colour being as its the wrong time of the year for the flowering trees and shrubs. But they have done a good job considering the lack of water up this way.

This is the entrance to the Gardens.

There was a little Zoo in the Gardens with just a few different animals.

And then i came across this...... the most rarest sight of all.
I am so thrilled i got it on camera....because its a very, very, rare occurrence.......i can tell my grand kids....yes it does happen kids......hidden amongst the bushes.........

Kids its "Grandfatherst..Edtightarserous"

And if you look close enough...yes...he has his wallet out..putting a donation in the box for the animals!!!

Wow...what a great day it was !!!!!!!!
