While we were at Gunning, i think i mentioned that we would be leaving the caravan, and doing a quick trip into Goulburn with the car to pick up some shopping.

Well there was not much to see really, it was just another crowded town, so we got our shopping and went back to the caravan. We got back to Gunning and the sky looked very threatening, which has been the norm really for the last week of our travels.
Well it wasn't long before the heavens opened up and mother nature put on another spectacular light and sound show.

I am not really concerned about storms, but we were parked under a huge cottonwood tree, and i was quite concerned about the lightening, but hubby assured me we would be ok (which we were)
But  all of a sudden, the wind came up really strong, and while looking out the window, i saw both pairs of thongs (flip flops), go sailing past along with the outside mat. Also Ed had put the towing mirrors on our car, which attach to our side mirrors on the car. Well the force of the wind had broken the passenger side mirror of the car, which we now have stuck together with lots of tape!!
Oh and we eventually found both pairs of shoes......and the door mat!!

The cottonwood tree that we were parked under had lost a lot of its cotton in the wind, and the birds that were settled in the tree for the night must have been a bit frightened by the storm, because when we woke this morning, our car was covered with cotton.....and lots of bird poo.......what fun that was to clean off!!

So after all that excitement it was time to take off this morning, and we drove another exhausting 90 klms :)

We are now at a very small town, just off the Hume highway, called Jugiong. The town boasts a pub, which opens Friday, Saturday and Sunday.....and their speciality is a roast, which they like you to ring up and book during the day, so they know how many to cater for! (makes good business sense!!!)
And there is a fruit shop, and a cafe which i have heard from the other campers here are both very nice.

So we are parked at the showgrounds, which have lovely clean amenities, and its right on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.
There is a walk up to a look-out somewhere which we will find tomorrow......it cant be hard to find!!

So we have set up camp, and the famous...or should that be "infamous"......shower tent, has made another appearance, and i must say, that boiling water on the camp stove, and getting the 12volt shower set up...is really worth the effort. It is the best shower....ever.

I couldn't get Ed out of there!

These are just a few shots of the lovely sunset. I have probably not done it justice with this camera, but the colours where so pretty.

So another beautiful day ends in this lovely country of ours.
