ON THE ROAD AGAIN
We left Bacchus Marsh yesterday for about 5 weeks while we wait for a short hospital stay in December.
It was sad saying goodbye to our family, but they now have their “tennis court” back for a while :)
We have decided to head back up to Mildura to see more family...(and maybe get a bit of warmer weather )
The wind has been horrendous....and driving into it isn’t much fun....but we have been crisscrossing our way across the North/West of Victoria.....visiting all the small towns that we haven’t been to for many, many years.
Yesterday we stayed the first night at Ararat. We’d stopped the night on the way down, but this time we unhooked the caravan and looked around the township.
It’s a lovely old town, very pretty old homes with gorgeous gardens.
These pretty flowers were growing out on the street...but those spikes were so painful...that will teach me to touch flowers!
And we went to the botanical gardens...
And came across a shade house of beautiful orchids...my Dads favourites....
And we loved all the old buildings...
The man at the information place said this tour was quite gruesome....so decided against that!
It was a lovely day exploring Ararat....
