HOPETOUN VICTORIA

Now this is camping....our happy place..

Hopetoun is a small about 400 klm from Melbourne. There’s only a few shops, enough to get your supplies...but it has this stunning campground called Lake Lascelles.

You can have power if needed or just find a spot anywhere around the lake and set up your camp for free.

We have lovely green grass right on the waters edge with plenty of water if needed for showering. 

It’s school holidays at the moment...but you are not crowded in next to one another like we were at the caravan park in Mildura paying crazy prices. 

This is what they call the bush camping retreat...

All with air conditioning....and really reasonably priced for those that don’t have their own caravan or tent. 

There is a section where you can have a caravan site with power and water for $20@ night....I think there is about 12 sites....

It’s just stunning here at night...and you can even have your own camp fire.

It looks lovely when they are all lit up at night.....and so peaceful.

Great place for kids canoeing or just swimming as it has a sandy bottom. 

Loving it!  You can stay here for a month. Tempting!!
