GULGONG

We arrived at this lovely place around mid morning after an interesting drive through landscapes of huge coal mines and wild,  flowering wattle trees.
They were so pretty with colours of pinks, purples, whites and different shades of yellows and golds.

The showgrounds here are great.

There are quite a few of us here but it’s such a big place we are not crowded in.

We went for a walk around the town and learnt that this is the town that was pictured on the original old Ten Dollar Note! 💵💵

It’s such a pretty town with lots of original old buildings.
We found a great pub ...

And went in and had some lunch.
What a lovely surprise this was inside....

We had the fish and chips for $6!!
Bargain!! It was so yum 😋 because I didn’t have to cook it!!!
We met some lovely old locals from Mudgee which is just ‘up the road’ and one old guy was telling us he has bees 🐝 for years ....and sells his honey from home ......
‘Not like the crap you buy in the supermarkets’ he says 😂😂😂

So tomorrow we might just go ‘up the road’ to Mudgee.
😂😂
We are staying for a couple of days.....or more 👍
It’s such a nice place. ❤️❤️❤️🏞🏞

******forgot to mention that we have done 90 Klm in a week ......and in some places the diesel has been the same price as home.. if not cheaper in places!!******
