TOOGOOLAWAH REVISITED
APRIL 2018
We are off for a couple of weeks on a much needed holiday.
So here we are once again at Toogoolawah campsite as we are meandering north. It’s a lovely area and Queensland really do cater for travellers.
We’ve had to reacquaint ourselves with the caravan and it’s workings. 😂😂
It’s been 7 months and we’ve forgotten how all the knobs and dials of the caravan work. Our fridge runs on either gas, electricity or battery so we have to remember when we stop to change settings!!
We had a few hiccups like turning on the tap to just have a few spits and splutters coming out.
Our water in the tanks underneath rely on the water pump to supply us with water. But it didn’t want to play nicely today so it looked like a shower and dishes were out of the question but a quick google search gave us some options.
It was either a pinched pipe underneath the van, a leak in the pipes or a stuffed pump ( which is only 7 months old)
So a crawl under the van and it was discovered that we had lost all the water out of one tank because of a broken ‘bung’ from the pipe to the tank.
Thankfully we had spares, and ten minutes later....... water 💦!!!!!
We have water on tap here at the camp, but if we find a great camp without water, we have our own to rely on for showers now!
It looked like we were in for a huge storm there for a while, but it passed over with just a sprinkle.
Woke this morning after such a great sleep to a beautiful morning.
Have paid for another night as it’s just so relaxing here.
Went for a walk into the small town.
On some of the very old buildings, they have the history about what was there originally and who was the original owners.
A huge fire came through the town back in 1926 and they rebuilt so it was really interesting.
❤️❤️
