ELLENBOROUGH FALLS..PT2

Well…..we did do it! With water bottle in hand, we started through those beautiful ferns and down those 641 steps. 

There were also planks for walkways……but the further down you went, they were replaced by stairs….and more stairs. 

We did meet a couple of girls on their way back up, and they looked totally distressed which was a bit daunting….and they asked was it far to go to the top. Being that I didn’t want to break their spirit…..we kindly said it wasn’t far…but it was. 

We came across this huge termite mound and I think it was holding Ed up there at one stage.

We were nearly there. I took a video of the falls but this blog won’t allow me to post it. 

So after sitting there and getting cool & wet from the mist…..it was time to start back up those 642 steps. 

And halfway up that’s when I wanted to call for a helicopter winch out!😂😂

We were both struggling, but me more than Ed and he kept encouraging me.

There were seats to sit on and rest, but I think that came to be a mistake as it was hard to get off my bum and keep climbing. 😂

Anyway we did make it back up to the top……and to be honest we were very proud of ourselves for achieving such a feat .

Today however, and I’m sure tomorrow….our calves and thighs are screaming……

But I’m still glad we did it. 😉🥰🥰
