THE WRONG KIND OF ADVENTURE

A lot has happened since the last time I posted. 

We were having such a great time at Forbes, and then we weren’t. 

Most of you know the story by now, but I just wanted to document it briefly, as looking back on it in years to come….it will be just another glitch in our journey. 

Our car broke down, NRMA was called, they couldn’t fix it so the next day it got towed to their workshop. 

Three days later they were unable to fix it, we couldn’t find anyone to fix it, Covid times, everyone was at least three weeks behind. 

So our total care team from RAVC came to the rescue. It certainly pays to belong to an auto club for any breakdowns. 

Long story short, they gave us a hire car to drive to Tweed Heads, and the Jeep and caravan were put on the back of a truck and driven to Tweed. 

The Jeep was sold for $2000, which was a surprise, (thanks to our Grandson Byron) As we were just going to ring the wreckers!

Then the Grandsons got together and found us another car.

So we now have a lovely car that will pull our caravan, and we don’t have to worry about European car parts that are very expensive as we’ve bought an Aussie Holden! 🤣🤣

So all is good again….well it could be better if the damn borders would open up.

Hopefully it won’t be too long. 

We got to celebrate Byrons 21st….

Our first born Grandson…..time goes so fast..🥰


And yesterday we went for a long walk…(NSW side) around Jack Evans boat harbour and around to Duranbah along the sea wall.

It was overcast but so nice and warm. 

We also went out on Saturday night to the Bowls Club. There was  a band playing…3 young blokes….they were so good and played such a good variety of music. 

You are allowed up on the dance floor now….with masks on….strange times….but it didn’t stop the dancers…(although some older people came off the floor looking a bit red and puffed) good on them…… and you are only allowed in the club if you are fully vaccinated. 

Ed’s been back at bowls and had a great catch up with loads of his bowls mates. 

Great to be home again.
