CONTINUING ON MY JOURNAL...11th MAY 2020
Wow! I can’t believe it’s been just shy of a month since I last sat down to continue this journal.
As a few of you know, after Mum passed, it was such a terrible 3 weeks before we finally were able to have Mum cremated and give Mum the dignity she deserved.
I really couldn’t bring myself to continue the journal over those 3 weeks.😥
And while I’m sharing the sad bits....we were sitting outside yesterday having our morning coffee when I looked over and saw our little mate Percy Pigeon on his back with his legs up in the air..🤦♀️😥
So I wrapped him up and sent him on his way too!!🌈
So that’s all the sad bits over with......
I’m now ready to waffle again!! Everything has been finalised and things are as they should be. 🌈🌈💐🌺🌸🌼🌻🌟🌟✨
We are still staying at the caravan park as we can’t travel....but we have met some lovely people here while we all wait to hit the road again!
We have met a lovely man called “Dutchy” who is camped about five sites down.
On talking to him ...it turns out he was born in the same town as Ed was in Holland! So the Dutch swear words came out..(so funny as he didn’t realise I understood)....and then they started on all the Dutch food that was cooked for them by their mums.....and he still cooks.....so every time you walk past his caravan....the smells of Rookwurst & Pea Soup....etc...waft out....😂😂👍
As of this Friday they are going to open up the heated swimming pool, playground & camp kitchen so we are going to meet over there for a chat with the other park campers. (While we all do our social distancing of course!)
Back to our caravan park tour....
As you come in the boom gate and turn left...there are now two cabins that have been completely renovated....the little room to the side with the pitched roof is an en-suite that’s been added.
They used to be a very ugly green...with no en-suite..and when Mum & Dad decided to come back up here to live...they stayed in one of these while we looked for a unit that we could all share as we still lived in our caravan.
I never forget the look on Mums face when we pulled up in front and she realised that she would be living in a caravan park...and not only that...that she would be living in something that didn't have its own shower and toilet!! Priceless.....whereas Dad was just happy to be in Tweed Heads...but...he did grow up with 10 brothers and sisters where he had to share the bath water...😂😂
Luckily for Mum ...bless her...we found a unit that we could all share quite quickly...so she was pleased to get in to it....so we thought!!
( That was another funny story)
I will continue on next time as it looks like we will be here for a while....so stay tuned😂😂 and stay safe everyone ❤️
XXXXX ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
