AUGATHELLA LAST DAY HERE.
We did our last walk into the town from The Rodeo Grounds today. It’s been a lovely place to stay. The groundsman is a nice fella and loves a chat. He’s all about the town and comes around to water and check the grounds. He’s in a motorised scooter but that doesn’t stop him and he zips around with his young grandson.
The water here is from an Artesian Bore and it’s so soft to shower in. Apparently, according to the scooter man, it’s the best drinking water.
“Not like the other crappy water where you can’t lather your soap up”🤣🤣
So you cross this bridge…into the “town”
And this is the view from the bridge of the Warrego River that was in flood not too long ago..
4 Pound for a new bike…delivered!! 🤣🤣
The old Town Hall….
Which held the “Flappers Ball” 😂😂 😭
Tribute to the War…..and the painted toilets.
And this bloke lurking around the toilets in the shadows……😳😱🫢🫣😉have no idea who he was….😊
And then the famous Meat Ants…
The Meat Ants won’t get a feed from those legs….🤣🤣🤣🤣
That’s it for Augathella. We’ve had a lovely time exploring the town and having a laugh. ( Ed was reading the other side of the board and I didn’t realise his legs were in the photo until now 😂 )
Take care ❤️❤️
